The Reason Why

In 2012, our family began the beautiful journey of adopting our daughter from Ethiopia. We were instantly captivated by her, and after two years, she officially became a part of our family. Her name, meaning "Freedom" in Oromo, holds deep significance for us.

A few years later, we felt a strong calling to adopt again—this time, from Liberia. Much like our first adoption, we fell in love with our second daughter, whose name in Kpele means "New Thing."

Through these journeys, we developed a deep love for Africa and its people. The names of our daughters embody the vision for Baurau: to bring new opportunities and freedoms to the communities we serve, giving people the chance to build better lives for themselves and their families.
